Crossroads’ Senior Adult Ministry provides for the needs of the senior adults in our congregation and community. Through this ministry, Crossroads will support spiritual and educational growth, encourage new relationships and provide Christian social activities. It is our goal to glorify the Lord, and to assist in bringing His message to the senior adult community of Vacaville and beyond.

PRIME TIMER ACTIVITIES

Prime Timers is a ministry for those fifty-five and over. Retirees, as well as those still employed, are encouraged to participate. Several activities help us keep in touch with one another as a group and enable us to encourage one another in our daily lives.

Every first Thursday of the month Prime Timers enjoy a potluck lunch at the Church from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. This includes delicious food, as well as inspirational programs designed to entertain and encourage. We sing favorite hymns, recognize special days, such as birthdays and anniversaries, enjoy surprise gifts, and are led in scripture based inspirational messages.

For those Prime Timers still employed, we try to have an evening activity about every third month so ALL Prime Timers can participate.

For the luncheons or dinners, you may bring a main dish along with a salad or a dessert. If it is your first time with us, you bring nothing but your appetite. Such a deal! Prime Timers are not obligated to bring a dish. Bring something only when and if you can. Just be sure to come!

Seniors join together in crossing roads of many kinds. Some are outside the normal monthly events. These crossings encourage making new friends, as well as visiting new and interesting sights. It could be a trip to Old Sacramento, a concert, or a drive to Apple Hill. Whatever crossings engaged in, we assure safety, fine food, and friendship in a Christian atmosphere.

Small Group Ministry

Prime Timers participate in a Small Group Ministry on Thursday afternoons at 2:00 pm in the Ministry Center, Conf. Room A. We do not meet on the first Thursday after a Luncheon. As there is no timeframe for the study, we move at a comfortable pace.

After the Bible Study we stuff the church bulletins and visit.
