Bruce

Gallaherruce and his wife Lynne have served with Crossroads Christian Church since 1989. Married since 1982, they are the parents of two boys, Shane and Jeremy. Previous to their ministry in Vacaville, they have served in youth ministry, as well as Director of Admissions (Bruce) at Pacific Christian College. Bruce serves as lead pastor as well as in the areas of pastoral care and evangelism. A favorite scripture verse is 2Timothy 1:7, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline." This is a reminder of the daily need to be empowered by the spirit of God. Bruce believes that the unfathomable love of Jesus Christ is the motive and the power for Christians to significantly impact their world, and helping people to realize the love of Christ in their life is life's most exciting adventure.

Loralee

Boeletterl.gif (147 bytes)oralee Boe is the Children’s Minister. She and her husband Dave Boe were married in 1986 and have two children. Loralee graduated from Pacific Christian College/Hope University in 1980 with a degree in Social Science & a Minor in Child Psychology.
She began her ministry at CCC in May 1992 with gradually increasing hours as the church grew. Her previous experience was in Private and Corporate Child Care, Human Resources and Business.

Loralee’s favorite verse for Children’s Ministry is Isaiah 54:12 “All your children will be taught by the Lord. And they will have peace.” The world is not a peaceful place on a global or personal scale for the children of today. I am called to teach children of the grace and peace to be found only in Jesus Christ.

Vision for Children’s Ministry

1) Provide a safe and loving environment for children to learn of God’s Word.

2) Provide support and training for the parents of Crossroads and the community.

3) Provide the opportunity for children of accountable age to accept a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Travis

Peacock

ravis Peacock is the Youth Minister at Crossroads.

Travis Peacock was born in Savannah, GA in 1977, and grew up knowing about God through his grandmother and the off-and-on attending of church when he was younger. A friend invited him to a youth ministry on Wednesday nights and he heard of a concept there that was new to him: not just knowing of God and about God, but actually knowing HIM. This intrigued him, so he decided to learn more and he let it all go and gave his life to God. He knew he wanted to live for God and get to know the God who created him and died for him. He went to camp that year and was called and led of God to become a Youth Pastor.

Travis graduated from Baptist Bible College and Seminary with a Bachelor of Science degree in Youth Ministry and Bible.

Travis feels God has called him to Crossroads Christian Church and he is so excited to see what God is going to do there. His passion is to see the lost students of Vacaville come to know Christ as their Savior and the students who attend Crossroads be on fire for a God that will consume their lives if they allow themselves to be broken and used by Him. Travis thanks God for the opportunity to serve this town, church, and students of Crossroads Christian Church.

Wendy

Cunninghamendy and her husband John were married in 1990 and they have a daughter, who is very active in the Youth program.  Wendy had the privilege of having an Aunt who introduced her to the Lord at an early age of 4 years old.   Wendy accepted the Lord at the age of 7 years old and to this day loves and serves Him.  Wendy graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1990 with a degree in Human Resources & Family Studies.  She and her family began attending CCC in 1993 and became members in 1995.  Her previous employment experience was in Corporate Child Care, as a Teacher and Administrator, and followed that as an Office Manager for 5 ½ years for a local company.  She has been and continues to be very active in Women’s Ministry, Special Choir, and the Worship Team (PowerPoint).   She is thrilled and excited to be working with a dynamic group of Christian leaders and people who are growing and committing their lives to Christ and reaching others for the Kingdom of God.

.
Wendy’s favorite verse is John 3:16- “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son , that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”   This verse tells of Gods ultimate and infinite love for us (sinners) and the greatest prize He could give us was His only Son.

Vision for Crossroads Christian Church: To work with other brothers and sisters of Christ for the glory of God and do whatever work He has called her to do for His kingdom.

namekathy.gif (687 bytes) Stognerathy Stogner is the Treasurer at Crossroads. Kathy and Ed married in 1963 and have two children. They began attending Crossroads in 1998. In 1990, Kathy started volunteering in the church office and in 1992 she was appointed Church Treasurer. During their time at Crossroads, Kathy has also served in Children’s, Women’s and Benevolence Ministries.

A favorite verse of Kathy’s is Psalm 62:5 “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him”. Kathy truly believes we must bloom where God plants us. He has given her at heart for the work she does and she feels blessed to be able to serve Him in this capacity.

George

Ripleyeorge grew up in a Christian home with parents who loved the Lord and were great examples of what “sold out” for the truth of God’s Word really means. At a young age George accepted Christ. As a senior in High School, he met his future wife, Maylene. The two dated for four years and were married in 1981 while they were attending Idaho State University. George and Maylene were very involved with Campus Crusade for Christ in College and they feel the time spent in this ministry helped shape their passion for discipleship and evangelism. They performed as part of an outreach band “Sincerely His” that went to churches and events to perform and share the good news of the gospel. Over the years, George has been involved with youth, prison and worship ministries. He has been part of the worship ministry at Crossroads since he first began attending in 1995. George became an Elder in 1998 and feels he and his family have been truly blessed and privileged to be part of the family here at Crossroads.

His favorite verses are in Romans 8:31-39 where Paul says if “God is for us, who can be against us!”

namejennifer.gif (826 bytes) Jenniferennifer Jessup is the assistant to our Worship Leader as well as the head of Women’s Ministry. She and her husband Mark have been married since 1990 and have two children. Jennifer has had the privilege of growing up in a strong Christian home, where early in life, she accepted Christ. She has spent a great deal of time involved in both drama and music. While living in Southern California, Jennifer became very involved in an exciting women’s ministry that left a lasting impression on her. Her desire is to see the women of Crossroads connect with God and each other, equipping them to become loving, caring friends, mentors, encouragers and supporters to other women the Lord places in their sphere of influence.
.
As a result of personal experience, Jennifer has come to love the words of Paul in Philippians 3: 13-14 “Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
